In 2024, SUVs continue to be the center of attention compared to sedans or MPVs. This is evidenced by the emergence of many new SUV models set to be launched soon.

Volkswagen Teramont X

The launch date of the VW Teramont X has been set for March 14th. However, in reality, this model has been present in Vietnam for some time. Some vehicles have already been delivered early to customers. The price of the car has been announced by the dealer to be from 2.168 billion VND.

The Teramont X is the coupe version of the Teramont, with seating for 5 instead of 7 like the regular Teramont.

The Teramont X version sold in Vietnam is equipped with glossy black details for a sporty look. The standout features of the car include matrix LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, a 12-inch screen integrated into the steering wheel, a 10.25-inch entertainment screen, Harman Kardon sound system, 3-zone automatic air conditioning, panoramic sunroof, heated and massage-integrated front seats...

The car is also equipped with advanced safety technology with many driving assistance features.

The engine of the Teramont X is a 2.0L turbocharged engine, producing 220 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Suzuki Jimny

Similar to the Teramont X, the Suzuki Jimny has not yet been officially launched but some units have been delivered early. It is expected that this model will be introduced in April. The dealer has announced the price starting from 799 million VND and has started delivering cars to customers.

The Jimny has a rugged design but compact size, equivalent to Class A. The equipment on the car is relatively basic, including analog-digital combination meters, a 7-inch central entertainment screen, manually adjustable seats, single-zone automatic air conditioning...

Safety technology is limited to electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system, hill-start assist...

The engine of the Jimny is a 1.5L engine with 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, combined with a 4-speed transmission. The notable feature of the car is its 4x4 drive system.

Toyota Corolla Cross (facelift version)

In the coming April, it is highly likely that the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross will be introduced in the Vietnamese market. Many dealers have started accepting deposits and announced that the number of versions will be reduced to just 2, including the V and Hybrid versions.

According to information from the dealer, the 2024 Corolla Cross when arriving in Vietnam will have some improvements such as new LED headlights, a 3D grille partially closed and partially open similar to the Lexus RX, newly designed wheels, a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel, an upgraded 10.1-inch central screen, addition of electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof and USB-C ports...

The car's technology will also be enhanced with a 360-degree camera with transparent mode, adaptive cruise control at all speeds and additional front collision sensors.

Ford Everest (Platinum version)

In the near future, the Ford Everest will have an additional Platinum version. Ford Vietnam has confirmed this information. The dealer has tentatively priced this version at 1.7 billion VND.

The Platinum version will be the highest-end version replacing the Wildtrak. Compared to the Titanium version, the Platinum version will be equipped with some more expensive features such as 21-inch wheels, integrated heated seats, ventilation for both front and rear seats, Bang & Olufsen audio system with 12 speakers...

Haval Jolion

Jolion will be the second model of Haval to be brought to the Vietnamese market. Based on information from the dealer, it is expected that the Haval Jolion will be introduced in April. The estimated price of the car is 700 million VND.

The Haval Jolion will be in the same segment as models like the Mitsubishi Xforce, Hyundai Creta, and Toyota Yaris Cross, although its size is slightly larger than its competitors, similar to the Toyota Corolla Cross.

If brought to Vietnam with equipment similar to the version sold in Australia, this model seems to have high competitiveness in terms of convenience. Inside the car, there is a 7-inch screen behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch central screen, independent dual-zone air conditioning, rotary knob gear lever, electronic parking brake, and panoramic sunroof.

The technology of the Jolion in Australia also stands out with advanced ADAS driving assistance features.

According to information from the dealer, the Jolion will have 2 engine configurations, including a petrol engine and a hybrid version. The petrol engine is a 1.5L turbocharged engine, producing 147 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the hybrid version has a 1.5L engine, producing 190 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque. Both use a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
